YOUTH HOSTEL IN A TYPICAL SLOVENE HOMESTEAD, NEAR ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SLOVENE SKI CENTRES – KRANJSKA GORA

  The "Pr' tatko" Youth Hostel is located in the north west of Slovenia (Gorenjska region) on the border of Triglav national park, Julian Alps and in the vicinity of the most beautiful slovene ski resort Kranjska Gora. It is located in the centre of an alpine village of Podkoren near Kranjska Gora, occupying an old Gorenjska region homestead; the locals still refer to it as "Pr' Govedarjo" (At the Cattle breeder’s). Built in 1913, the house has unique architectural features of that period and rooms are furnished in an old rustic style. Our guests are welcome to use the shared kitchen, bathroom with a shower, a bidet and a washing machine; all rooms also have a wireless Internet access.

  Our hostel is an ideal place for anyone that finds the relaxing atmosphere, sports activities, natural beauty and peace a better substitute for the perfect comfort of the latest modern hotels. In the immediate vicinity operates a well-known Slovene ski centre Kranjska Gora with its Alpine skiing World Cup, as well as the ski jump hill in Planica, that is the annual venue for the Ski jumping World Cup.

  The "Pr' tatko" Hostel offers an ideal opportunity for active holidays. Due to the vicinity of the intact nature of the Triglav National Park, the Karawanken mountain range and the Julian Alps, crystal clear rivers and waterfalls and high mountain ski slopes, the hostel represents an amazing starting point for walking, hiking, mountain biking and other sports, and in winter, numerous activities in the snow.
